§Accepting these terms
By visiting Trends, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. The terms apply to every page, RSS feed, and API response served from our domain.
§Use of our content
Personal reading. You may read, save, and print articles for personal, non-commercial use without restriction.
Linking. You may link to any article on the site. We do not require a specific format. We do ask that you link to the canonical URL of the article, not to a cached or scraped copy.
Quoting. Short, attributed excerpts (up to roughly 200 words) are welcome in commentary, criticism, education, and news reporting under fair-use principles. Please include a link back to the original article and the byline.
Translation. You may translate and publish a short excerpt of an article in another language with attribution and a link back. Translating and republishing a full article requires written permission.
Republication. Republishing a full article — in print, on another website, in a newsletter, or in any other medium — requires our written permission. Email editorial@trends.local to request a syndication agreement.
§Acceptable use
When interacting with the site, you agree not to:
- Scrape the site at a rate that would interfere with normal operation or violate our robots.txt file.
- Attempt to bypass, disable, or otherwise interfere with any security or rate-limiting feature of the site.
- Use the site to harass, defame, or impersonate any person, or to distribute content that is unlawful in your jurisdiction.
- Introduce malicious code, bots, or automated agents other than the well-behaved crawlers honored by robots.txt.
- Misrepresent the source of republished content or pass it off as your own.
§Intellectual property
Article text, custom illustrations, the site logo, and the visual design are owned by Trends or its contributors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. The editorial wordmark “Trends” and the stylized “T” logo are trademarks of the publication; please do not use them in a way that suggests endorsement without permission.
Quoted material within articles — including product names, public-figure statements, and third-party research — is the property of its respective owner and is used under fair-use or with permission as noted in the article.
§What you send us
If you submit a correction, a story tip, a comment, or any other material to the editorial desk, you grant Trends a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that material for editorial purposes, including quoting it in published articles. You confirm that you have the right to share the material and that doing so does not violate anyone else's rights. We will never publish your name alongside a correction without your permission.
§No professional advice
Everything on Trends is published for general information. It is not legal advice, medical advice, financial advice, tax advice, or professional consultation of any kind. Always confirm details with a qualified professional before making a decision that depends on them.
Trends is a publication, not a regulated service. We are not a law firm, a clinic, a brokerage, or a government agency.
§No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work hard to keep it accurate and online, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. Laws and procedures change; the latest version of any article is the one on the page at the time you read it.
§Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Trends and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim — which, for free editorial content, is zero.
§Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged at the bottom of the page for at least thirty days. Continued use of the site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not, please stop using the site.
§Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If we have a disagreement, we will try to resolve it by good-faith negotiation first. If that fails, the dispute will be handled in the courts of Lahore, Pakistan, unless mandatory local law in your jurisdiction says otherwise.
