We started Trends because most information online is built for advertising rather than for the reader. Our model is the opposite: short, well-sourced explanations that respect your time and tell you where a story might still be in motion.

§Mission

Help readers make confident decisions in a noisy digital environment. We aim to publish the kind of guide you would forward to a friend who asked the same question: practical, current, and honest about what is settled versus what is still developing.

We are not a news wire, an op-ed outlet, or a content farm. Each piece of writing on Trends is a deliberate, structured explainer designed to stay useful for months or years — not just hours.

§What we cover

The site is organized around twelve topic clusters: Pakistan, Technology, International, Sports, Entertainment, Money, Lifestyle, Travel, Food, Business, Science, and Health.

  • Practical guides — step-by-step walkthroughs of services, processes, and tools (renewing a CNIC, filing taxes, choosing a VPN, planning a Schengen trip).
  • Explainer articles — evergreen pieces on how a system works, written for readers who want to understand rather than just react.
  • News context — coverage of breaking stories, framed around the underlying question a reader is actually asking.

§Editorial standards

Every article goes through a four-step process: a planning outline, a draft, a structural edit, and a fact-check pass. Sources are linked inline where possible, and a short correction log is kept on each article when material facts change.

We separate reporting from opinion. When an article contains the publication's recommendation, that recommendation is labeled clearly rather than buried in adjectives. Sponsored content, if it is ever accepted, will be marked as such and confined to its own section.

Corrections. If you spot a factual error, please use the contact page. We acknowledge corrections within five working days and update the article in place with a dated note.

§Principles

  • Reader first. A page is for the person reading it, not for the person advertising against it.
  • Plain language. If a sentence needs a dictionary, rewrite the sentence.
  • Durable structure. Articles are organized so they still make sense a year after publication.
  • Honest uncertainty. We say “this is still developing” rather than guessing.
  • Quiet design. Typography, motion, and layout are tuned to help reading, not to demand attention.

§The team

Trends is operated by a small editorial desk. The current masthead lists the contributors behind the publication, their bylines, and a short biography for each. As the publication grows, this page will expand with named roles and contact channels for each editor.

For contributor inquiries, corrections, or takedown requests, see the contact page.
